MaxPlayer Pro / Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
These are the terms that apply when you install and use MaxPlayer Pro. They're written to match what the app actually does — a local player, not a content service — so please read them, especially the sections on content you play and third-party services.
00:00 — AGREEMENT
Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using MaxPlayer Pro (the "App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't install or use the App. We may update these terms from time to time — see Changes below.
00:07 — THE APP
What MaxPlayer Pro is
MaxPlayer Pro is a local video player for Android. It scans video files already present on your device's storage, presents them as a browsable library, and plays them. It is not a streaming service, does not host or distribute video content, and does not provide you with any video, film, or television content of its own.
00:14 — LICENSE
License to use the app
Subject to these terms, Fieldcase grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use MaxPlayer Pro on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the App except where applicable law gives you the right to do so despite this restriction.
00:21 — YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Content you play
Everything you play in MaxPlayer Pro comes from your own device — the App has no library of its own and doesn't know or care where your files came from. You are solely responsible for the video files you open with the App, including making sure you have the legal right to possess and play them under the laws that apply to you.
MaxPlayer Pro does not encourage, facilitate, or condone copyright infringement. It is a playback tool, the same as any other media player — what you use it for is your responsibility.
00:28 — SUBTITLES
Subtitle search
The in-app subtitle search queries OpenSubtitles.org, an independent third-party service. Subtitle files it returns are provided by that service and its community, not by Fieldcase — we don't create, review, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any subtitle you download. Use of OpenSubtitles.org is also subject to its own terms.
00:35 — THIRD PARTIES
Advertising & third parties
MaxPlayer Pro is free to use and supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. We also use Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) to operate and improve the App. These services are provided by Google and governed by Google's own terms and policies, not by us — see our Privacy Policy for details and links. We aren't responsible for the content of ads shown, or for the availability or behavior of these third-party services.
00:42 — OWNERSHIP
Intellectual property
The MaxPlayer Pro name, logo, interface design, and underlying software are the property of Fieldcase (or its licensors) and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of the App to you — you only get the limited license described above. All video content you play remains the property of its respective owners; we make no claim to it.
00:49 — AS-IS
No warranty
MaxPlayer Pro is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, file, or codec you throw at it.
00:56 — LIABILITY
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fieldcase will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) MaxPlayer Pro — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
01:03 — ENDING USE
Termination
You can stop using MaxPlayer Pro at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue, suspend, or modify the App, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice — for example, if we stop supporting it or Play Store requirements change.
01:10 — CONTACT
Changes, governing law & contact
We may update these terms as the App changes; we'll update the effective date above when we do. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the update.
